  1. I’ve shared these with my Facebook friends, Lois. Portbraddan, one of my favourite places, lies between Dunseverick and Ballintoy. Some of the views will have changed little in he past few thousand years.

Jeremy, here in Northern Ireland, ‘Desert’ in a place-name is a reference to a hermitage, a place of religious solitude eg Desertmartin.

    • Thanks Nevin – it is the most glorious place – I have only been there in the summer – I would love to see this coastline at other times of the year. If I added all the holidays together I guess it would be about seven months… seven glorious months of summer on the Antrim coast!!
